Mediation Locations and Available Amenities
I typically mediate at the Greenway Mediation Center. It offers wireless
Internet connections, teleconferencing capabilities, free parking and is
convenient to anywhere in the Houston metropolitan area. You may click on

Because I place a high value on the working lunch, I make a commitment to
the participants that I will provide choices well beyond the simple ham
sandwich and potato chips. I firmly believe that the overall moods of the
participants are adversely affected when the food provided is not
satisfying.
As a result, I offer the parties choices of salads and entrees from several
of Houston's finest restaurants, including Grotto, the Ragin' Cajun,
Berryhill's Tamales, Polo's Signature, and P. F. Chang's.
Once the mediation has been scheduled, the party in charge of scheduling the
mediation has the right to select the restaurant from which lunch will be
ordered. I will provide the selecting party with a copy of the abbreviated
menus so that they can make an informed decision as to which restaurant will
provide lunch.
In addition to the snacks provided by the mediation center, I may also bring
additional food, including homemade scones, cookies, brownies or other baked
goods. As with lunch, these items are offered to make the parties more
comfortable. Something as simple as a blueberry scone may improve someone's
overall outlook. If that makes him slightly more amenable to resolving a
dispute, it is worth the effort of adding flour, water and sugar together to
make dough and baking it for ten to twelve minutes until lightly browned.
“The way to a man's heart may be through his stomach.
However, the way to increase the odds of settling a dispute is
through increasing the choices available to put in his stomach.” |
